The double slipper tub is a derivative of the slipper tub which came into being during the Victorian era. Additional benefits of the acrylic models are that they lend themselves well to installing whirlpool devices, if they were not originally made that way. They, too, hold the heat very well after the initial filling. They are also available in many colors, styles and price ranges. However, be sure not to use any cleaning products that contain acetates because they can corrode or crack acrylic. In the event that your acrylic tub should start to yellow or the color fade, use a product like Gel-Gloss to return it to its original luster.
